80 City Tour
The last tour before Ouellette took a year off the road to write novels and make films was an 80 city, 3 month affair. The idea was to raise money for childhood cancer research, and although that didn’t go how he had hoped, it was the effort that mattered.
The tour was filled with identity theft, engine troubles, and fighting with the man who stole his charity money. The car was broken into and his bags stolen while he was on stage in Chicago. A storm verging on a hurricane was taking place during the show in Virginia – he was performing in front of a glass window on the ocean side, and the power went out mid-performance. As always though, nothing stopped the American Failure and he pulled off over 100 shows in that time.
